Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diner's Club credit cards. Our checkout process is managed by Shopify Payments, a PCI-compliant gateway that manages and stores your payment data securely.

We also accept payments through PayPal, ShopPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Meta Pay, and Amazon Pay. Some of these methods will redirect their third-party website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment, after which you'll be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.

We do not currently accept personal or business checks, money orders, or COD, unless separately arranged under the agreement of a wholesale order.

What is your Website and Payment Security?

We take security seriously.

We don’t even see your payment information, let alone store it or share it. All payments are processed through Shopify Payments, a level 1 PCI-compliant gateway that manages and stores your payment data securely through encrypted channels.

Our website is built on the secure Shopify platform. We utilize SSL certificates to encrypt your data while browsing our site (as shown via the lock icon in your browser). Our domain is managed via Cloudflare and we leverage hcaptcha to screen out bad actors. Lastly, to ensure that these methods are effective, our website is continuously monitored and certified secure by TrustedSite (formerly McAfee SECURE).

As an additional optional layer of security for our customers, in our checkout process we also offer 90 days of complementary $100K identity protection insurance, offered through TrustedSite.

Other

Do you provide free samples?

We only provide free samples for select marketing purposes. However, 1ml samples are available for purchase in our create-your-own sample set.

Can I request a custom scent?

We are not currently accepting requests for bespoke perfumes. Please sign up for our mailing list to be notified about any new scents we release that may be more to your taste.

We only send emails for new product launches, sales events, and order processing purposes, and we will never sell your personal information.

How long do your perfumes last?

Our scents are formulated to have a shelf life of 1-2 years minimum.

However, many of our blends contain materials that improve with age. Whether a person enjoys the scent of a parfum new or aged is a matter of personal preference.

Storing your perfumes in a cool, dry, dark location is the best way to ensure their longevity.

Do you offer alcohol-based perfumes?

We do not offer alcohol-based perfumes at this time. If that changes, we will notify our customers through our newsletter.

Do you sell wholesale?

We do accept applications for wholesale/resale with minimum order thresholds. We do not sell on consignment. Please click here or use the link at the bottom of the site to apply.

What are ‘Nature Identical Aroma Molecules’?

Nature Identical Aroma Molecules are molecules that are synthesized in a laboratory but are the same molecules that exist in natural substances.

For example, vanillin, which is the main aromatic component of vanilla beans, can either be extracted from a large amount of wood pulp to make what would be classified as a truly natural ingredient, or it can be synthesized in a laboratory wherein it would be not considered natural. The chemical structure of both molecules is identical, and they behave identically in the human body and the environment. The nature identical molecule takes fewer resources to produce however, often making it the more environmentally friendly option.    

What is the gender of (blank) fragrance?

We choose not to label our scents by gender because such associations are an individual choice and vary culturally.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! We offer digital gift cards here. They’re available in several values, never expire, and can be automatically delivered to any email on any future date.

We do not currently offer physical gift cards, but if you sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page, we’ll let you know when we do.

Orders and Shipping

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes! If you would like the added benefits of using an account, such as saving your cart items, viewing past orders and your total environmental impact, visit https://ahouseonthemoon.com/account/register.

Why haven’t I received an order confirmation?

If you do not see your order confirmation email, please check your spam and junk folder. If you still don't see it after 24 hours, please email support@ahouseonthemoon.com.

Why has my order been canceled?

We typically only cancel orders if there’s a problem with stock, or if you’ve asked us to cancel. Please accept our apologies if your order is canceled because of a problem at our end. We’ll always offer an alternative product or process your refund in full, as quickly as possible.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Please reach out immediately to support@ahouseonthemoon.com if you need any changes made to your order. We aim to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, and cannot make any changes once an order has been processed.

When will my order arrive?

We strive to process all shipments within 5-10 business days. Please check your shipping confirmation email to check the status of orders enroute. Direct any questions to support@ahouseonthemoon.com.

How much does shipping cost?

How can I track my order?

After you place your order, you will receive an email that your order was placed successfully. When we ship out your order, you will receive another email that contains a USPS tracking number. Clicking on the link for that tracking number will take you to the USPS website, where you have the option to sign up for additional email or text notifications directly from USPS, such as when it is expected to be delivered, where it is in-transit, and when it was delivered.

Do you accept returns and/or offer refunds?

Due to the nature of the product we sell, we cannot process returns. If your product arrives damaged, please take pictures of the product and packaging and contact us at support@ahouseonthemoon.com as soon as possible.

Why don’t you ship to my country?

We are continuing to research shipping to foreign countries.

If you would like us to sell in your country, let us know by emailing support@ahouseonthemoon.com. We will look to prioritize where we expand based on where we hear from.

What packaging do you use to ship orders?

Our packaging is 100% curbside recyclable. Perfumes bottles are placed in glassine (water-resistant paper) bags which are ensconced in crinkle paper in a cardboard box, sealed with kraft paper tape.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Yes, we ship to PO boxes, but only through USPS.

Can I combine orders into a single shipment?

Please reach out to support@ahouseonthemoon.com as soon as possible if you would like orders combined into a single shipment and we will accommodate the request if we can.
