A House on the Moon Earns Cruelty-Free Certification From Leaping Bunny
Although we’ve essentially been cruelty-free in practice from the start, we’re delighted to announce that our fragrances are now officially certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny. This rigorous certification not only confirms that we do not perform any animal testing in-house but also attests that none of our suppliers perform animal testing on any of the ingredients used in our perfume formulas. This certification applies to the entire A House on the Moon line of products, now and in the future, and we will renew it each year moving forward.
For anyone concerned about consumer safety in a cruelty-free cosmetics operation, please keep in mind that these perfume ingredients have either already undergone historical animal testing elsewhere (much animal testing is unnecessarily redundant), and/or have been tested using one of the growing number of non-animal safety tests. Leaping Bunny certification is not about avoiding testing, it is about avoiding harming animals.
We are grateful to the Leaping Bunny organization for providing such an accessible way for companies to certify cruelty-free operations. Not only do they offer options to become certified free-of-charge, but they also make the process as easy as possible without compromising the important standard that they uphold. We encourage other small cosmetics companies to explore their certifications as well.
Certifications are important distinctions that provide assurance that a standard is met, and not just a perception. In our own home, we want the companies we buy our cosmetics from to show through certification that they are adhering to a standard that truly keeps animals safe. We are excited to now be able to provide you with the same assurance that every fragrance you buy from A House on the Moon is certified cruelty-free. So please feel free to peruse our site to find your perfect perfume with a light heart.
